do, we talked about clearly defining excitement vs. drama and we talked about the choiceto be enthusiastic in any situation.
One of the greatest speeches I have ever seen totally brings all these together. It is Jim Valvano’s speech from the 1993 ESPY awards. I’ll let you research the back story, but it is one of the greatest talks I have ever seen, and I remember it moving me in so many ways. I’ll be honest, not unlike Mr. Valvano, the speaking thing was something that came with practice; I was TERRIBLE at first! The living with enthusiasm came a lot easier for me. Fortunately, I have been able to meld the two together.
OK, enough about me.
Enjoy Jimmy V’s speech!
Are you getting enough excitement out of your life? What made you think, laugh or cry today? I’d love to hear it!
